look in the file:
/var/log/asterisk/full and see what the log file says
your might have to set up
/etc/asterisk/logger.conf so that “full” is set to verbose to capture
every detail that is taking place at startup hence to see what’s causing it
to not startup

Subject: [Amportal-users] amportal restart question
Date: Tue, 6 Jun 2006 14:50:21 -0400
Hi,
When I issue “amportal restart” from the command line… all is well…
However, for some reason when I ssue amportal restart from a crontab
what I end up with is asterisk just stops and never restarts… any
ideas why this might be?
