I’m realy new in Asterisk, FreePBX …
i have setup my machine whit Elastix ,my trunk is :

username=********
type=peer
secret=********
qualify=yes
port=5060
nat=yes
insecure=very
host=ip address
disallow=all
canreinvite=no
canredirect=no
allow=g729&g723&gsm&ulaw
fromuser=********
fromhost=ip address

i directly receive the message : All circuit are busy …

Do you have g729 license installed?

First,thank you for your answer.
i have changed the configuration of my Elastix :(it"s fine now)
[x] alaw
[x]ulaw
[x] g723
[x]gsm
if i allow only G279 : the phones do not works any more and there is no records.
i have LynkSys SPA940, i choose codec g729a.

I guess i have to download and install a free G279 version, if it’s possible from where and how can i install it.

unless there is a true bandwidth problem, just don’t use g729. You only end up degrading your call quality and creating other potential problems.

When ever possible, stick to linear codecs like ulaw/alaw.

Thanks for the answer, we have 4 Mb up and Down in Morocco.
There is 50 agents calling whit one server Elastix.
i think ulaw it’s 64 Kb ? So we consume 3.2 Mb.

i will try it and i will give you a feed back.

it’s more like 90Kb with overhead for ulaw/alaw.

If your provider has another codec available you may want to try that one, otherwise, you may need g729 in which case you may need to buy a bunch of licenses (though you don’t necessarily need 50).
