After upgrade from Asterisk 13 to 16 now extension regs get duplicated

We recently upgraded Asterisk 13 to 16 on our PBXact server and now we notice that when a phone or Zulu registers there are two registrations:

Why would this happen? Everything seems to be working fine.

It’s a cosmetic CLI issue only. There is an issue[1] tracking it.

[1] https://issues.asterisk.org/jira/browse/ASTERISK-28228

Unfortunately it is not just a “cosmetic” issue because all my CDR entries are duplicated since Asterisk wants to send a call for every entry. I now get the “correct” CDR that is answered or not and another that always has a 0 duration. Any idea when this will be fixed?

It’ll be fixed in the next week or so, and end up in the next set of releases in approximately 3-5 weeks. I don’t know when it would appear in FreePBX.

Do you have an example of these CDRs? Noone else reported such a problem.

I’m not seeing duplicated CDRs. From Asterisk CLI, what is the output of:

 cdr show status

asterisk -rx “cdr show status”

Call Detail Record (CDR) settings

Logging: Enabled
Mode: Simple
Log unanswered calls: No
Log congestion: No

  • Registered Backends

    Adaptive ODBC

On a single call I end up with multiple cdr entries. I understand that I should have two entries per call because one call goes to the phone and the other to Zulu (even if zulu is not connected). This call has 4 cdr entries. I assume the first 3 have 0 duration because zulu is not connected and the second registration for the phone does not respond.
