I am using Huawei USB stick and chan_dongle to have a trunk to mobile network. I can also receive and send SMS messages.
However, I am looking for a better solution that would support 4G network.
What would you recommend?
I am using it for my small home project, so I need only 1 SIM card and the cheapest variant.
Alternative option would be 2G gateway, since in my country 2G still works (but 3G not).

Can’t answer the original question, but I think you specifically want a voice gateway, i.e. support for VoLTE, not just a data one, which would be treated like an IP router.

Yes. I would like to have possibility to make phone calls (and connect thnto Asterisk) and also sending/receiving SMS/MMS
