I am new to FreePBX, and from the gui, it looks like I can only add 1 extension at a time. I have 1000 to add, they all have the same attributes.
Is there a way to add add a range of extensions in one shot. Or can I edit the extensions.conf (or an other one) using a file editor. I am not familiar to Linux either, so what is the editor that I can use for that.
I installed AsteriskNow 1.5.

Download Bulk Extension from http://www.freepbx.org/trac/browser/contributed_modules/release/bulkextensions-2.5.0.2.tgz
Go to Module Admin, select Upload module, browse to the previous downloaded file and click on Upload.
Then go to Module Admin again, at the end you will find Bulk Extensions with the state Not Installed (Locally available)
Select Action and Install, click on Process.
After that you will find in Tools menu the Bulk Extension. Follow the instructions and I am sure that you will be pleased.
