When using the Active Directory integration, it appears that the name of the extension is not being updated when it is changed in Active Directory and synced.
Part of me wonders if this is correct functionality and should be like that, but part of me wishes I didn’t have to update names in two places. When you’re dealing with what seems like a revolving door of employees, every little bit of automation helps.
AD syncs with userman. It does not update or change an extension so it will never change the extension name it will only change the userman name. I can see why you might want it to change the extension name. Please file a feature request at https://issues.freepbx.org
Was just about to post something similar. Would be nice to allow users to update the name on their extension/phone from UCP. Will be following the linked feature request.
