Activating Temp VM Greeting via softkey/feature code?

Hello all…

Trying to work out a way to switch to the temp vm greeting with a phone softkey or a dial feature code. Think users who always want to activate a temp “I’m not in the office again until Monday” kind of temp greeting every week on friday.

I’ve seen the http://vmgreeting.sf.net extensions to the recordings app. It’s certainly the right direction to be moving in, but a code/button would be better…

Phones are polycom, so cooking up a softkey from a feature code is pretty easy.

Create a call flow. One side of the call flow goes to the extension, the other side goes to announcement which then goes to the extension.
