Action when an extension is not registered

Hi, I am new to FreePBX and VOIP / SIP etc, I hope someone can help me with my questions.

Is there a way to create an action when an extension is not registered?

Perhaps FreePBX can send an email or maybe make a call to a different extension and play a recorded message.

Also on a similar topic, is there a way to view which extensions are registered and which are not. I can see in the status how many extensions are registered but not which specific extensions.

You can see what extnsions are registered several ways.

  1. Log into the Linux CLI, start Asterisk console using the “asterisk -r” command and then issue the “sip show peers” command. Omit the quotes on both commands.

  2. Go to the Asterisk Info panel and look at SIP Info. You didn’t say what version of FreePBX you were using and the exact menus for this are in different places depending on the FreePBX version.
