Aastra XML Parking Slow

Using FreePBX 2.11 and the Aastra scripts in the distro, I find that parking is very slow. Takes approx 6 seconds to display which number the call was parked on. Using this text: park:

http://myip:80/aastra/asterisk/park.php?user=$$SIPUSERNAME$$&linestate=$$LINESTATE$$

Is this normal?

Yes these old unsupported scripts are very cranky and falling apart at the seams.
