A200 Analog causes Eth0 to go down

Running a new installation of FreePBX 14.0.1.4. We wanted to start testing failover to an analog card. We are using a Sangoma A200. The problem is when I install card and power on system, Eth0 is down on boot. I can ifdown then ifup and if comes back up sometimes, but it’s inconsistent. When system does boot all the way up, i can see fxo and fxs but network is down. When i unplug A200 all goes back to normal.

Any ideas?

Hi!

Are we talking of the FreePBX distro (running Sangoma 7) or something running on another distro?

If this is the FreePBX distro this is quite interesting considering it seems it might have been the cause of a loss of Internet connectivity when upgrading from FreePBX 13/Centos to FreePBX 14/Sangoma 7 for some of us, me included.

(Everything is fine for me now though, my network card does come up correctly…)

Are you running a VM?

Do you know which chipset is used on that network card?

Good luck and have a nice day!

Nick

Yes, this has Sangoma Linux 7. This not a vm, running on a physical machine. There are 3 nics on machine all Intel 82583V Gigabit.

Thank you @Ajred!

@GameGamer43, this somewhat sounds like the problem I and @waldrondigital (I believe) had with network connectivity when using a Sangoma A200 but with a new install.

I guess a ticket on https://issues.freepbx.org is in order?

Thank you and have a nice day!

Nick

Is there a workaround for this?

Hi!

I am not sure the actual reason for a very similar problem while upgrading was actually found.

I would say the best course of action for now is to create a ticket at https://issues.freepbx.org and refer to tickets FREEPBX-15491 (https://issues.freepbx.org/browse/FREEPBX-15491) and FREEPBX-15489 (https://issues.freepbx.org/browse/FREEPBX-15489).

Good luck and have a nice day!
