I generally contribute on the trixbox forum :wink: I have added there a post about a new log file viewer LogzMon that I have tested out using trixbox and freePBX. My trixbox post is here

I have written a How-To that describes the installation of LogzMon with TB2.0 and 2.2 and with freePBX 2.2.0rc3 and 2.2.1 www.cat24.net

It also covers the basic configuration, setting the log files that are listed for viewing, setting the filters and testing. LogzMon may be a good addition to trixbox and freePBX. Please checkout my How-To and let me know what you all think.

LogzMon is a lot better than the basic log viewer that is part of freePBX at the moment, but could be improved. If there was sufficient interest from other users I would be happy to put some time in to improve this application. Alternatively the original program author may be interested to help. I will email the author to let him know of my posts.

The current log viewer is fairly worthless imho. We’ll try to take a look I’m all for improving upon the current viewer if it can be properly incorporated into a module or to replace the current module.

Philippe, I have emailed the author to notify him of my posts, but since LogzMon is GPLV3 I should have thought that the code could be used / incorporated OK. I realise it is not as simple as that from the freePBX module point of view.

If you do incorporate it at some point it would be good to do so in such a way that future upgrades in LogzMon can be accommodated. Although this log viewer is a very useful advance I can think of a number of enhancements. I have started to look at the PHP in LogzMon but it is not straightforward.
