*97 automatically logs user in without prompting for password

As the title says…when a user dials *97 from their extension it automatically take them to their inbox without prompting for a password. Is there a way to change it to prompt for a password?

Right now I just have the messages button on all the phones (Polycom IP601’s) to dial *98 and prompt them for the extension number and password.

Just trying to eliminate the users having to input their extension number…I have searched and searched google and the freepbx community and couldn’t come up with anything to help me.

It’s a setting in the extension. Under the voicemail settings after password “require from same extension”. Default is “No”
