I entered a MAC address into the endpoint section on the extension page - hit submit and confirmation page returned blank

  • cannot get back to the extension specific page to make any pages to that extension
  • I can get to the extension page for any other extension

I copied the MAC adress and copied it into the endpoint field - it had “-” included in the address - could that be part of my issue?

Endpoint Device List - shows the mac address I entered on the extension page, doesnt show any brand or model info. If I click to edit, goes to a blank page. Attempted to delete the MAC address, but page comes back the same and endpoint not deleted.

On the endpoint configuration page, it does not show any end points. If I click on the install button, the page refreshes, but nothing happens.

Endpoint advanced settings > manual upload - I downloaded the files suggested from provisioner.net and attempted to upload however the page returned say invalid file extension

Bottom left of browser says done, but with errors

ok thanks, didnt know if it was something I was doing on my end or an issue with the EPM. Trying to get it figured out.

You need to have a TFTP server installed.

Then you have to either set Option 66 or Option 150 on the DHCP server

If you don’t have that then you need to set the TFTP server on each phone.

Thats the only way the phone will know to look for the files and then reboot. As both the aastra and polycom phones ONLY reboot when they detect configuration changes on the remote server.

If I disable the End Point Manager module, I can then go in and edit that extension page.

Updated to latest RC and that issue appears to be all cleared up - thanks that’s great!

Not sure if I should continue with endpoint issues here or start a new thread - but I’ll put it here until someone suggests different.

I am able to enter brands and models of endpoints now which we couldnt do before. I can create templates for the phones correctly or so it appears.

However, I can not seem to be able to apply them to the phone, or even control the phone with something like a reboot. The phone is recognized in the endpoint manager with the mac address, and I can assign the extension and template, but nothing seems to happen with the phone.

I have tried with both Aastra and Polycom endpoints.

Could it be that I have to start with a virgin phone, or can I apply to a phone that was previously configured?
