13 to 15 upgrade problems

Currently running FreePBX 13 and trying to upgrade to 15. I have a spare box that I am testing this on. My steps are: install fresh copy of 15 on spare box. Update modules and system. Then do a restore from 13 using nightly back. Restore runs fine.

Every thing comes over and all extensions (currently chan_sip) are there, sip trunks showing online.

Every time I have tried this (i have been trying for 3 days now), I use a spare phone, update ip address to point to new server and phone registers. When I do a test call, I get “The number you have dialed is not in service.”. I have tried about every suggestion I could find online and still get the same message.

I am able to register another phone and make calls between them, but dialing out produces the above error.
Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks

Here is the output from sip debug; ******** equals my cell number.

Do inbound calls work?

It seems like your outbound route isn’t setup correctly as I am not seeing it anywhere trying to dial out on to your upstream SIP provider.

Thanks for the reply Igor. I would assume the outgoing routes are correct because this is a migration (test) from current live server. With that being said, I am unable to test incoming calls because the live server is being used right now. I might be able to bring live server down tomorrow and test incoming calls. I will post.

Hmm, this doesn’t really feel like this is a problem caused by a restore. I would treat this as simply a configuration issue. It could be that since your old unit is still in place in your environment (ie. the upstream firewall or the SIP trunk provider) are only configured to work with your original PBX.

I would look into this as simply configuring a trunk and outbound/inbound routes on a new PBX system.

Just to update:
This morning (5:30am) I took physical test server to our network closet, unplugged live server from network, gave test server IP address of live server and everything worked. So even after calling Comcast Business and being assured AdTran is not bound to the ip address of the live server, that appears to be false. Although the test server I have setup AND the warm spare I have all say the trunks are online, only the live server ip address can make calls. Perhaps another call to comcast will be in the future.

Thanks for your help.
