Is there a way to have the contacts that show up with their first name and last name rather than their login name?
That would be up to your client to let you set a name. XMPP will always send the username I believe.
It looks like it can be done but we don’t. This may be more likely with 12+ and UCP being that users have proper names. Please put in a feature request at http://issues.freepbx.org
Well it can be done with groups in prosody which we do not use. We setup a single roster of all users and rosters do not appear to support a friendly name.
