Trunk Dial Timeout setting

Why Trunk Dial Timeout (TRUNK_RING_TIMER) is a read-only setting? Is it unsafe to change it?
In a call center I want people to wait for a call about 25 seconds only, not default 300 seconds.

You can change this setting, but you need to enable overriding in the advanced settings module.

It is really a question to the designers of the system. I prefer that no one would touch the internal settings of the dial plan except the administrators. It is almost an out of the box pbx. Just configure your extensions, trunks and routes and you are off to go.
