System updates not completing

hi, i am using FreePBX 14.0.1.36, i am trying to upgrade the system modules. i click on “check online” on system modules. it list 26 modules. i then click update system. the update starts but soon after, it says “complete” but it clearly has not completed. i am worried i am in an unstable state. any help would be greatly appreciated!
