[SOLVED]Getting Data from Online Server...Cant Reach Online Server

But I was able to update two other pending modules.

I also have this issue after attempting to update 2 days ago.

The stated fix is not working for me though. I continue to receive the same error.

root@pbx:~ $ /var/lib/asterisk/bin/freepbx_setting MODULEADMIN_SKIP_CACHE 1 && amportal a ma upgrade framework && /var/lib/asterisk/bin/freepbx_setting MODULEADMIN_SKIP_CACHE 0
trying to run as user asterisk:

[MODULEADMIN_SKIP_CACHE] changed from previous value: [0] to new value: [1]

Please wait…

The following error(s) occured:

  • Retrieved Module XML Was Empty
    root@pbx:~ $

@sunshinetech You seem to have an unreleated issue. Please open a new thread.

Just run the single command:

 /var/lib/asterisk/bin/freepbx_setting MODULEADMIN_SKIP_CACHE 1

Then go check online

Ok I tried that, received the same error. I just got it to work though.

After I received the error a few days ago and was trying to fix it, previous occurrences of this issue posted on the forums said it might be due to using DHCP versus a static IP address, and I had been using static DHCP.

After setting the skip cache to 1 and then changing my network settings BACK to using DHCP, it worked.

Thank you for the assistance. System can now receive phone calls.

FreePBX 12.0.31
After upgrade to PBX Firmware 5.211.65-21 i cannot upgrade modules in Module Admin.
“Check Online” button show new modules
but after pressing “Process” button, i get error:
“Warning: Error retrieving updates from online repository(s) (http://mirror1.freepbx.org,http://mirror2.freepbx.org). Online modules are not available.”

I’m seeing the same problem on all of my FreePBX servers. I have them configured to use WGET in the advanced settings and still have the problem. I have both installations behind SonicWall firewalls and have followed the recommended steps to disable “Enforce Host Tag Search for CFS” on both firewalls. Still having the same problem.

Thanks Andrew, that fixed my problem.

Warning: Error retrieving updates from online repository(s) (http://mirror1.freepbx.org,http://mirror2.freepbx.org). Online modules are not available.

Anyone else see this? been like it for a couple of days now.

Thanks Andrew, is this a known issue??

Perfect, thank you for the quick fix… Works much faster too.

That was the point of the original fix 40-50 seconds to 12 seconds to check online. Then I introduced a bug…

LOL, I am with you… I work on a form of basic for our building automation systems, I also run into that very same problem. Yours being more complex I grant you.

Again, thank you for the update, sorry I did not notice the original topic in the forum. My caching server seems to be having issues at the moment.

Thats ok. It will continue to keep happening for the next week or so, so I just have to buckle up and merge threads. Which I will do now with this one.

worked for me too. Nice

Thanks. Both my systems that were upgraded to 12 were affected. Glad to see this resolved.

I was having the same issue and this seems to have fixed it for me.
