[SOLVED]Getting Data from Online Server...Cant Reach Online Server

Awesome news that you found something!

Should we expect an update today still?

The update was released an hour ago. Please check your PMs

Can someone please post the fix publicly. I do not use the distro and I did not get any pm.

I am doing limited testing so as to not have this happen again. I’m not holding the patch. Just doing it with select community members first after it went though QA

Fix is listed below:

/var/lib/asterisk/bin/freepbx_setting MODULEADMIN_SKIP_CACHE 1 && amportal a ma upgrade framework && /var/lib/asterisk/bin/freepbx_setting MODULEADMIN_SKIP_CACHE 0

worked for me
thanks!

Fix was successful - awesome!

Thanks! Issue fixed, no errors now

Thanks, worked like a charm.
Out of curiosity, what was this caused by?

Hi tm1000,
I sorry to say but your proove of “Everything is fine” is in reality not fine :wink:
B/c the freeobx seems to check for mirror1 and mirror2

“Error retrieving updates from online repository(s)
(http://mirror1.freepbx.org,http://mirror2.freepbx.org). Online modules
are not available.”

Marcc what is your point?

I was having the same trouble. Noting that I am running the FreePBX distro.

Thanks for the fix; it worked for me!

The point is that even if I can load the modules.xml I’m still having the above problems.+Most of my modules are 12.x, some are still 2.x.

Should I be using this commands ?

/var/lib/asterisk/bin/freepbx_setting MODULEADMIN_SKIP_CACHE 1 && amportal a ma upgrade framework && /var/lib/asterisk/bin/freepbx_setting MODULEADMIN_SKIP_CACHE 0

Yes you should use those commands to resolve this issue.

Ok, and why are some modules still 2.11 ?

But I was able to update two other pending modules.

I also have this issue after attempting to update 2 days ago.

The stated fix is not working for me though. I continue to receive the same error.

root@pbx:~ $ /var/lib/asterisk/bin/freepbx_setting MODULEADMIN_SKIP_CACHE 1 && amportal a ma upgrade framework && /var/lib/asterisk/bin/freepbx_setting MODULEADMIN_SKIP_CACHE 0
trying to run as user asterisk:

[MODULEADMIN_SKIP_CACHE] changed from previous value: [0] to new value: [1]

Please wait…

The following error(s) occured:

  • Retrieved Module XML Was Empty
