I tried to create a file in /tftpboot/contacts called MACaddress-directory.xml based off the “000000000000-directory.xml” file, but I can’t seem to figure out how to get the phone to refer to that when it downloads its config files (using Polycom 560 phones). I tried using OSS EPM to rebuild, but it doesn’t seem to do anything, and the phone doesn’t seem to pick it up when I restart after rebuilding the config from the phone (Menu 3,1,8). Also, I have a few contacts I had manually entered on my phone, and those don’t get overwritten, but I can’t find where those might be stored in the config files on the server.
Basically, I have a list of contacts that I want to add (local, inhouse listing) and ideally I want everyone to pull from the same file (but I can manually duplicate for each MAC if I have to). But I can’t figure out how or where to make that happen.
So, need a simple, static directory to be loaded into the phones. How do I make that happen?
