New server, backup restore produces retrieve_conf encountered an error: 1

I built up FreePBX on a spare office machine for basic lab type testing and I now have a server and installed a fresh install of FreePBX and then restored my backup and now I keep getting:
Reload failed because retrieve_conf encountered an error: 1

When I look at the trace back I see:
/var/www/html/admin/libraries/BMO/Database.class.php:70 PDO->__construct()
[0]: mysql:host=localhost;port=3306;dbname=asteriskcdrdb
[1]: freepbxuser
[2]: {removed password}

/var/www/html/admin/modules/cdr/Cdr.class.php:35 Database->__construct()
[0]: mysql:host=localhost;port=3306;dbname=asteriskcdrdb
[1]: freepbxuser
[2]: {removed password}

When I go back searching through the Community posts I see some other people had a similar issue and reset the mysql password but I don’t know what the mysql freepbxuser password actually is. I tried the password in etc/freepbx.conf and it doesn’t work, I also tried no password, and several other ideas but nothing works. I also verified the etc/freepbx.conf password matches /etc/asterisk/cdr_mysql.conf

Finally I’ve even tried dropping to a CLI trying amportal chown and amportal a s but when I go to do an amportal a r it errors out just like the GUI does with the same error.

Hi!

Let us know if this works out for you…

Good luck and have a nice day!

I think that worked! No more errors, I’m not at the office but will have to verify everything in the morning when I get in.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for you…

Please let me know if that worked tomorrow, after a while those fingers are going to start to hurt… :wink:

Good luck and have a nice day!
