Linksys pap2t can't connect to login server

Greetings:

I feel like I am spinning in circles.

I have FreePBX 2.5.1.5 system up and operational with one sip privider. I have a new sip provider that I got the trunk to register with. My challenge is in getting a new extension configured with the proper user contex and user details so that the new extension uses the new trunk.

The first big error I am getting is that the Linksys Pap2T “can’t connect to the login server”.

I can ping the ata from the pbx.

Where must the seceret and user id be in sync to facilitate connection to the login server?

I made an interesting discovery. If I add the phone number to the assigned inbound DID, the ata is registers with the server and I get a dial tone.
