Hello,

I am newbie, can anyone recommend server hardware specs (Tower) to build a TEST FreePBX machine.

You don’t need much for a test server. An old P4 will do. You can purchase a cheap desktop for a few hundred dollars.

For getting your feet wet, you can also install an iso in VMWare. Run it on our desktop. This will allow basic testing. If you like what you have done, back up the virtual system, install on a real box, and restore the backup.

Download VMWare Player from www.vmware.com. It is a free download and works great for testing FreePBX/Asterisk.
