Grandstream to FreePBX Distro : Inbound Problem

Hi,

Please assist us on our issue, we are trying to use Grandstream GXW4104 and GXW4108 to handle all our pstn lines to connect through our Freepbx Distro Server. We have tried all the possibilities of configuration and looking to the freebpx wiki in how to do it but unfortunately it didn’t solve our problem. We are using a POLYCOM 331 handset and CISCO RV082 router.

Scenario: GXW4104 - have a two lines (Ch.1 & Ch.2) - having a telephone numbers of 032-422-6882 and 032-422-6474
GXW4108-have a two lines also (Ch.1 & Ch.2) - having a telephone number of 032-343-8487 and 032-343-8606

  1. Yesterday: if we try to call the first line of the Grandstream GXW4104 and GXW4108 which are 032-422-6882 and 032-343-8487 we are able to have our POLYCOM 331 ringing (which is okay). But if we try to call the 2nd channel of the of GXW4104 and GXW4108 our POLYCOM handset will not ring… instead it will just say that the number you dial is not yet in service.

  2. Today: totally the reverse of yesterday: if we try to call the 1st channel of our GXW4104 and GXW4108 our POLYCOM handset will not ring anymore and no operator that will say that the number you dial is not yet in service, but if we call the 2nd channel of GXW4104 and GXW4108 our polycom handset will now ring.

Note: Outgoing calls using the GXW4104 and GXW4108 are okay… Our problem is mainly in our incomming calls and we are
not using a sip server for both GXW4104 and GXW4108.

see images below for the configuration

I would suggest changing your Channel settings “Dialing to VoIP” so that you are forwarding directly to an extension or ring group. In your case, you’d like the call to forward directly to the Polycom. So this is what you’d put:

In the example I’m assuming that extension 100 is the extension to the Polycom…
For the GXW4104
User ID: ch1-4:100;
SIP Server: ch-14:p1;
SIP Destination Port: ch1-4:5060;

For the GXW4108
User ID: ch1-8:100;
SIP Server: ch1-8:p1;
SIP Destination Port: ch1-8:5060;

So now when an inbound call is received on port 1-4 or 1-8, it will unconditional forward it to extension 100.

Give that a shot and report back with your results. Thanks.
