End Point Manager and Aastra

Beta Distro 6.12.65-13

Using the EPM with Aastra 6867i telephones. The firmware that the EPM will load is old version 3.3.1.7087. I downloaded the latest version and saved it to the TFTP root location and the aastra folder. But how do I tell EPM that I have a new firmware file to load. 3.3.1.7089. when I reboot the phone it keeps reloaded the older version.

I don’t see a way to update the firmware like in the OSS. The trouble is OSS doesn’t support this phone.

OK. You load the firmware to the TFTP folder and select recommended for the firmware version. Not the phone has the latest version on it, maybe it will work better.

All 100% outlined in the wiki for you on how to install your own custom firmware. Did you look at the wiki for EPM? http://wiki.freepbx.org/display/FCM/EPM-Admin+User+Guide#EPM-AdminUserGuide-FirmwareManagement

Sorry Tony, I’m past the firmware (not a firmware issues) and need help correcting the error in EPM when it creates the mac.cfg files for this model of phones.

On this new phone the format is a bit different and we need to create a new template for this 6867i phone.
its like the “” around the values need to be removed.

Works just fine for me as I did 3 if them this week at ITExpo. Make sure you have a uodated EPM installed.

Thank you for responding.
Phone is 6867I software v3.3.1.7098

Distro v6.12.65-13
EPM 2.11.0.1.82

I have fond no issues with the top buttons. It’s the softkeys.

This is what the EPM look like. I’m using accout1 because I can’t get it to work and was trying anything

The EPM build the config file (sorry for the code dump) and only some of the speed dial softkey is working. (DND)

and now the buttons working. It seems that EPM can program sofme of the software keys and not others.
It’s like you don’t need the “” around the variables anymore

Thank you again for looking at my post.
