Difference between PJSIP and CHAN in FreePBX 12.0.38

Hi,

I just installed FreePBX 12.0.38 with asterisk 13.2.0. I noticed under Extensions there’s 2 type of SIP extensions I can add, PJSIP and CHAN and I’m not sure what is the difference between those 2.

It doesn’t really say anything about CHAN, but thanks for the link

Take “CHAN” out and read it from “PJSIP” v “SIP”. CHAN is the internal reference meaning “channel”. If you would have read your extensions page you would have seen it says “CHAN SIP” and “CHAN PJSIP”
