Bug or Intentional CDR?

Hello All,

Just upgraded a system to the new 10.x version and in that process I noticed that the CDR will show the same inbound call multiple times, it turns out it’s directly related to how many extension are in the ring group for that inbound call. If I have 1 extension, I get 1 line in the CDR, if 3 extensions I get 3 calls as you can see below.
In previous versions I used to only see 1 call, not 3 or how ever many are in the ring group.

One other note, I tried to click on the call details (system link) and nothing comes up, this did work in previous versions providing more details about the call.

Call Date Recording System CallerID Outbound CallerID DID App Destination Disposition Duration Userfield Account CDR Table CDR Graph 2016-01-14 11:30:09 1452789008.33 "Test Caller "<11234567890> 0987654321 Dial 100 NO ANSWER 00:01 2016-01-14 11:30:09 1452789008.33 "Test Caller "<11234567890> 0987654321 Dial 100 NO ANSWER 00:01 2016-01-14 11:30:08 1452789008.33 "Test Caller "<11234567890> 0987654321 Dial 100 ANSWERED 00:15

I did force reinstall of CDR just in case.

This is running Asterisk 13
PBX Firmware: 10.13.66-6

Thanks!

Bump
Can anyone tell me if there is a reason for every call to show multiple times?

Possibly you have multiple cdr backends, maybe both the mysql and the odbc one maybe more of one of them

This is because you are using Asterisk 13. It’s been mentioned several times over the last two years but starting in Asterisk 12 CDRs keep track of all local channels. This is why we are advising people to start using CEL over CDR as in FreePBX’s case this will never be solved and CEL is more detailed and correct anyways.

Thanks tm1000,

I missed that, I appreciate the info, will look into CEL!
